Tatton Settled Estates has secured outline planning approval from Chorley Council for a 3.8 acre housing development on land adjacent to Coppull Enterprise Centre, Lancashire.
The application incorporates 49 family homes with an element of affordable housing, which aims to complement and enhance the existing Grade II-listed Enterprise Centre.
The scheme will include two, three and four bedroom homes in a combination of designs, including detached, semi detached and mews properties.
Richard Barton, principal planner at HOW Planning, who acted on behalf of Tatton Settled Estates, said: "The vision for this new housing scheme is to deliver a sustainable development on what is an underutilised brownfield site. The approval of the development ensures that our client can help realise its full potential, bringing new homes and creating a new community for the area."
Barton said the site, which is situated within the Coppull Settlement Boundary, is currently part used for overspill parking.
Manchester-based Leach Rhodes Walker is the architect on the scheme. The project cost was not disclosed.
