Residential development proposed for Organ Inn

Housebuilder Mulbury Homes has submitted a planning application for 57 homes on the site of the former Organ Inn on Market Street, Hollingworth, to Tameside Council.

The Organ Inn pub is currently in a state of disrepair, and has been out of use since 2015.

The application calls for the former pub to become five apartments, and for the rest of the 3.6-acre site to hold 52 affordable homes.

Of the 52 homes, 18 are proposed to be two-bedroom, 30 to be three bedroom, and four to be four bedroom.

The site is bounded by the A628 and the properties fronting it to the north. There are already residential properties to the east of the site .

PWA Planning consulted on the scheme, which was designed by GTD Architects. Urban Green were the landscape architects and consulted on its arboriculture.
