JP Maguire Developments is behind plans to transform the Davenport Street building into 120 apartments.

Known as Cotton Gardens, the development would comprise a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom properties.

The basement of the development would feature a gym and a pool under plans lodged with Bolton Council.

JP Maguire is also requesting consent to remove part of the roof to create an atrium at the centre of the development.

Manchester-based Four Architects is leading on the design of the project.

The mill, which is not listed, is located on a two-acre site north-west of Bolton town centre in Halliwell. The building is vacant, according to the architect’s design and access statement.

JP Maguire, headed up by managing director Jonathan Twentyman, is also behind the conversion of a former Cotton Mill in Leigh.

Loom Wharf features 99 apartments within the former Mather Lane Mill.
