Remarkable opens Manchester office

National communications and planning consultation agency Remarkable Group has launched a new strategic office in Manchester to meet growing demand for its services in the north of England.

The new premises in Salford Quays establishes a physical presence in the city for the agency, which has been working in the region for years, and puts it closer to its local clients.

The office in Exchange Quay also provides a foothold for the award-winning company to continue extending its national reach, after also opening an office in London last year in addition to its south coast base in Hampshire. There are six staff based initially at the new Manchester office, with plans for growth.

While the new office has a particular focus on community and stakeholder engagement and planning consultation, Remarkable Group has an established reputation of delivering a wide variety of successful projects for some of the biggest organisations in the UK.

Leading the Northern team is associate director Carlene Leonard, who has more than 13 years' experience in the industry. She said: "This is a natural step for us. We've been delivering very successful consultation and political engagement strategies across the north of England and the rest of the country for many years.

"Our Manchester presence and our experienced team will now allow us to be closer to our clients and be on the ground around the clock to get them even better results, and we're delighted that all four new employees have been recruited locally."

Remarkable Group chief executive Stephen Pomeroy said: "We've seen growth in recent years despite challenging economic conditions. The launch of the Manchester office is a visible reminder of how far we've come in a short time and will play a central role in our expansion across the region."

Remarkable Group was founded in Southampton in 2004 before expanding to Winchester where it now employs more than 60 people. In 2013 it was ranked 75th in the PRWeek Top 150 PR agencies league table and in November won a national title at the Public Affairs News Awards for Best Use of Social Media, as well as picking up three Gold prizes at the CIPR Wessex and Channel Islands PRide Awards for Low budget Campaign, Best Sporting Campaign and Public Affairs Campaign, while also winning Campaign Challenges and Social Strategy at the PRCA DARE Awards 2013.

Remarkable Group offers a fully-integrated service through its PR and public affairs teams, and its creative and digital division, NÜKO. It delivers a range of services for regional and national clients, including creative strategy, public relations, stakeholder engagement, digital marketing, film and video, and social media.
