The role of housing in the economic recovery is attracting a lot of attention from government and national media. How developers in the North of England cope with issues around skills, planning, supply and demand and accessing development finance will all be examined at this event on Wednesday 4 November.
The panel line-up so far features:
- Glen Wilson, head of property SME banking, Lloyds Bank
- Ian Thomlinson, director, Land4Homes
- Chris Curtis, development manager, Seddon Housing Partnerships
- Paul Williams, director, Mosaic Town Planning
As well as the market forces impacting the private market, registered providers of affordable housing face constrained budgets under the austerity packages coming from George Osborne, with further pain expected for housing associations in the forthcoming spending review.
Lloyds Bank will outline findings from the recently published research paper for the sector which came out in September.
The remainder of the format will be a Q&A debate about the state of the market and challenges and opportunities in the SME housing sector, with a particular focus on independent regional housebuilders and smaller housing associations.
The debate will be followed by a hot buffet and networking. There will be key attendees from the Northern real estate teams at Lloyds Bank in attendance.
We hope this will be an entertaining and informative lunch and look forward to seeing you there.
NB: Given the nature of the hosts at this event, bank representatives not from Lloyds Bank are unable to attend. Thank you for your co-operation.
