Regenda / Mulbury on site in St Helens

Construction work has resumed on a stalled housing development of 34 affordable homes for rent in St Helens.

Mulbury Homes initially acquired The Beeches from the administrators of Chelford Homes after it went into administration in June 2012, before it was acquired by housing association Regenda.

Regenda will work with Mulbury to complete the St Helens development, which consists of seven partly-built homes and a further 27 new ones in Jubits Lane. The development is funded by the Homes & Communities Agency.

Greg Mulligan, director of Mulbury Homes, said: "By creating a partnership with Regenda Group, we are able to deliver much needed affordable housing in this area of St Helens, rather than allowing it to lie dormant,

"We are making it a priority to complete the seven partly built homes by the end of March this year, with the entire scheme to be finished by March 2014."
