Refurbishment for listed Piccadilly Basin warehouse

Town Centre Securities has put forward plans for an upgrade of Carvers Warehouse, home to tenants including Civic Engineers, Max Fordham, and the Harris Partnership.

The 22,000 sq ft, four-storey warehouse dates to 1806 and was converted into offices in 2007.

TCS is now proposing to improve existing offices as well as adding shared workspace, communal areas, improved food and beverage offerings, and a break-out area.

Stonehouse Projects is the contractor, and work is set to begin next month. The refurbishment follows the addition of three new tenants: structural engineer Renaissance; IT services firm Oddsphere; and chartered surveyors Hynes Illingworth. Between them, the three have taken 2,000 sq ft.
