The developer has won planning consent for a trade counter scheme on Knowsley Industrial Estate in Merseyside.
Known as the Knowsley Hub, the 50,000 sq ft scheme comprises seven units ranging in size from 8,000 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft. Redsun Projects acquired the three-acre site from Knowsley Council following a competitive tender process this year.
The developer has secured a 10,000 sq ft pre-let with building supplier Howdens Joinery and says terms have been agreed with another national building supplies merchant keen to take 6,000 sq ft.
The scheme is being designed and project managed by C4 Projects and Muir Consulting is the consultant engineer. B8 Real Estate and Avison Young are the joint letting agents. Construction is expected to start this summer.
Redsun director Nick Wightman said: “Working with Knowsley Council, we have been able to unlock this site and bring much-needed industrial space forward.
“With planning now secured, we will be appointing a contractor in the coming weeks and aim to make a start on site this summer and completion is targeted before the end of the year.”

“To have secured deals on 16,000 sq ft before a spade has gone in the ground demonstrates the continued demand for commercial space in this location.”
Earlier this month, Redsun secured lettings at another Merseyside light industrial scheme – the 55,000 sq ft Magazine Point on Wirral International Business Park in Bromborough.
Signage supplies distributor MDP Supplies has taken 19,000 sq ft, while medical diagnostics company MedTechToMarket has signed for 12,000 sq ft. The pair of lettings leave 24,000 sq ft available across four units.
