Redsun embarks on 46,000 sq ft Wirral industrial

Construction is underway at Riverview Business Park in Bromborough, as Redsun Developments starts the second and final phase of its eight-acre project overlooking the River Mersey.

Two commercial units are being constructed, providing 46,000 sqft of floorspace built to BREEAM 'Excellent' standard.

Phase one was completed in 2012 and anchored by Regal Wholesale. This final phase will be anchored by food exporter Smylie, which has agreed a deal to take 28,000 sq ft. The remaining space is being marketed by B8 Real Estate and Bolton Birch.

The project is partly funded by the European Regional Development Agency; the third time Redsun has used European grant funding to aid development.

Redsun plans to deliver a further 100,000 sq ft of development in the next year. Craig Booton, managing director, said: "We have established ourselves as a key player in the Merseyside development market during a period where much development activity has been stifled. We have delivered a number of successful developments in the commercial and roadside markets across the North West, North Wales and West midlands. It is very exciting to see further progress on site at Riverview Business Park and this marks the start of an exciting period for Redsun with several further North West developments in the pipeline."
