Redsun buys in Bromborough

Liverpool-based developer Redsun has acquired a five-acre former power station site within Wirral International Business Park from the Homes & Communities Agency.

A planning application has been approved for a commercial development on the plot, with Redsun delivering 90,000 sq ft across six units.

The procurement process is underway for a main contractor to build the scheme, which is expected to start in the coming months.

Legat Owen and B8 Real Estate have been appointed as agents.

Redsun currently has commercial developments on-site in Birkenhead, Liverpool and Ellesmere Port.

Craig Booton, managing director, said: “This is the best undeveloped site remaining at Wirral International Business Park and a site we’ve been working on for some time now. Wirral is a market we know very well. Everything we’ve developed in this area has been occupied within three months of completion, so we know there is a strong demand from the occupier market in this location.”
