Redrow names new finance boss

Deeside-based house builder Redrow has appointed Barbara Richmond, formerly FD of car parts maker Inchcape, as its new finance director.

Richmond replaces David Arnold, who resigned in Christmas after seven years at the firm.

Redrow's new FD has ten years' experience at that level within UK listed firms. Before Inchcape, which she left in May 2009, she worked at chemicals giant Croda International, and prior to that Whessoe, the engineering and electronics business. Richmond was a non-executive director of Scarborough Building Society from 2005 to 2009.

Steve Morgan, chairman of Redrow, said: "We are delighted that Barbara is joining the group and look forward to benefiting from her wealth of strategic and commercial experience."

Richmond, a graduate of Manchester University, said: "I am very pleased to be joining Redrow at this exciting time in its development and I look forward to working with Steve and the rest of the team enormously."

Redrow will announce its interim results on 25 February.
