Redrow makes executive board appointment

Redrow Homes has appointed David Bexon, a consultant, as sales and marketing director on its executive board.

Bexon previously worked for Redrow as marketing director 14 years ago, during which time he helped to launch the company's first website.

Bexon worked as managing director of Trinity Mirror Digital Property until 2010, and has also worked as a business consultant for online businesses and a number of large firms, including LSL Property Services. He is also an associate lecturer on the Open University MBA programme.

He said: "I'm re-joining the business in a strategic role at a very exciting time to assist with our bold expansion plans and add value for our shareholders and customers.

"Redrow is a highly respected brand within the housing industry with a superb product portfolio. I'm a staunch advocate of new homes and one of my key objectives will be to increasingly highlight the positive differential offered by new homes compared to older, second-hand properties."

Bexon, who lives in Nantwich, Cheshire, will return to Redrow on June 23.

Kim Peters has also been appointed as group brand director within Redrow's marketing department. The company said Peters would work closely with Bexon to position Redrow as a premium brand.

Redrow builds around 3,500 new homes annually across England and Wales.

In its interim management statement in April the Deeside-based firm said it had secured a further 11 sites since its half year results were announced in February, comprising 1,300 plots.
