Redrow Lancashire puts six on starting blocks

The Chorley-based arm of the housebuilder, which reported record profits last month, will launch sales at six projects over the coming months following the purchase of five sites in the second half of 2017.

Development will be started over the next six months at Dover Meadows, Maghull; Oakleigh Gardens near Clitheroe; The Grange at Yew Tree Park in Burscough; Fox Meadows in Chadderton, Oldham; and two schemes at Omega in Warrington.

The sites acquired by Redrow Lancashire, one of 14 operating divisions in England and Wales for Redrow, added more than 700 plots to its land bank of sites owned with planning. Once complete, these six new developments will have a total sales value in excess of £200m.

During the last six months, the division has started work at Tabley Green in Fulwood, near Preston, and Oldfield Park, in Poulton-le-Fylde. It also completed work on the Woodville Gardens development in Moston, Manchester, the final phase of a regeneration project that has seen 361 homes built in five locations.

Divisional managing director Steve Greenhalgh said: “The six new sales outlets will eventually bring 723 high quality homes to the region and help meet strong demand. We’ll also deliver 111 affordable homes among that total and community benefits worth around £7m.

“We’re continuing to receive high levels of interest in our existing homes for sale and are already building strong databases of potential purchasers for our developments that are set to launch over the next few months.”
