Red Scar lettings signal expansion for business park

Tustin Developments has let five warehouse units at Red Scar Business Park in Preston over the past two months, leaving one unit remaining at its speculative Fulwell Court development.

Local sign maker Sign Build has completed its deal on 9,000 sq ft on a 10-year lease, along with Peelology which has signed a five-year lease on 1,700 sq ft. Recycling Lives has signed a five-year lease for 11,798 sq ft.

Lazy Lawn, artificial grass lawns and turf suppliers, has taken 974 sq ft on a three-year lease along with Roskerr, commercial printers, which has agreed a six-year lease on 2,500 sq ft.

According to Tustin, the developer plans to start on a 27,500 sq ft extension to the business park early in the New Year.

Robert Pinkus & Co and Bailey Deakin Hamilton acted for Tustin as joint agents.

Completed in summer this year, Fulwell Court is made up of 13 single-storey business units. Two further units are under offer with one 715 sq ft unit left to let.

Richard Hargreaves, property manager at Tustin Developments, said: “The speculative development at Fulwell Court has been a fantastic success and we are delighted that only one unit remains at the development. The speed at which the units have been snapped up shows the demand in the local market for good quality business space and we are therefore proceeding with creating more business units at Red Scar in 2016, with completion expected in the summer.”
