Reay to depart Allied London for Peel
Chris Reay, group property director at Allied London, is set to join Peel to oversee the £1bn expansion of MediaCityUK.
Reay has worked at Allied London for four years, initially joining as Spinningfields estate director before taking on a wider role in managing and letting the developer’s pipeline commercial projects such as Enterprise City and St John’s.
Reay is set to join Peel in July where he will work as property director, alongside MediaCityUK managing director Stephen Wild. Peel is seeking to double the size of the Salford scheme through the delivery of eight buildings, in a mix of offices, residential, hotels and leisure space.
During his time at Allied, Reay has seen the completion of the last two offices within the Spinningfields masterplan; XYZ and No1 Spinningfields, which were sold to German fund Union for £84m and Schroders for £200m respectively.
He also led on the 222,000 sq ft pre-let of Manchester Goods Yard to Booking.com.
Reay is the second senior departure from Allied in recent months; in March, project director James Sidlow left to join Renaker to lead on the delivery of Great Jackson Street in Manchester.
All parties have been contacted for comment.
All the best with the new role Chris.
