Quorum sells 45,000 sq ft Trafford Park unit

Cheshire-based investment and development company Quorum has sold a 45,000 sq ft industrial unit in Trafford Park to Store First for close to the asking price of £2.35m.

Quorum acquired the property on Clarke Industrial Estate in 2013. The building was previously let to Tullis Russel but the company was no longer in occupation when the building was purchased.

Quorum has also appointed Russells Construction to carry out a £1.3m speculative refurbishment of a 48,000 sq ft warehouse on Linkway Trading Estate in Middleton. The site was acquired by Quorum in 1996. The property should be ready for occupation by spring 2014 with a quoting rental level of £4.75 per sq ft.

Davies Harrison and Knight Frank are the appointed joint letting agents.

Paul Cook, director of Quorum Investments, said: "With the supply of good quality industrial and warehouse units decreasing in the mid-size range, we experienced significant interest in the building on Trafford Park, and expect good demand for Linkway once the works are complete."
