Quorum launches Heywood industrial sales

Quorum Estates has started subdividing the 53,000 sq ft former Hanson Logistics site on Moss Hall Road in Heywood, acquired late last year, into 10 terraced units

The Wilmslow-based developer said the renamed site, now Quest Park, will offer units from 2,500 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft. The first two deals are expected to be agreed shortly at the site.

Work is expected to complete in June with all units being available on a freehold or leasehold basis. Prices are £85/sq ft freehold or £6/sq ft leasehold.

"These warehouses will appeal to local companies looking to expand operations or relocate to better premises", said Daniel Burn, associate at King Sturge, joint agent with Nolan Redshaw on the scheme. "The site benefits from good access to the motorway network as well as nearby amenities and an abundant labour pool."

Paul Cook, development surveyor at Quorum Estates, added: "The units at Quest Park provide a unique proposition for businesses to buy into the market. While there are other light industrial units available to let in the local area, there are no immediate opportunities to actually buy premises, which make this development quite special."
