Pugh & Co unveils next auction catalogue

A Grade 2-listed former synagogue in Blackpool will be amongst 178 lots going under the hammer at the next Manchester auction by Pugh & Co later this month.

Old Market Hall BacupAnother standout lot is a vacant Grade 2-listed former town centre market hall in Bacup, Lancashire which is being offered at £125,000-plus.

Kate Lay, head of Pugh & Co's residential division, said she has seen an upsurge in the number of people buying and selling properties at auction. She said: "We've seen a great deal of interest and competitive bidding in the auction rooms this year. Our database of over 70,000 national investors and developers is very buoyant and many are showing great interest in Manchester as an area for investment potential.

"This is driving the majority of our residential sales in the region and presents a real opportunity for people and businesses who need or want to sell property fast."

The sale takes place at Manchester United FC's ground from midday on 19 April.
