Pugh & Co reveals February auction catalogue

The catalogue features more than 295 commercial and residential lots on behalf of corporate clients, banks, receivers, partner agents and private individuals.

Of the 295, 179 are in the Manchester auction being held at Manchester United FC, Old Trafford, on Thursday, February 28.

The commercial part of the auction will see more than 130 properties offered across Staffordshire, North Wales and Cumbria.

Included is a former filter house near Lancaster, offered on behalf of United Utilities, which provides a development opportunity with planning permission submitted for conversion into two residential dwellings.

Also offered on behalf of United Utilities, is a part-vacant office building on Hathersage Road, Manchester, originally constructed over thirty years ago and partly refurbished ten years ago.

The property benefits from a staff restaurant and kitchen, a single storey data centre and parking. The total net area available is 85,188 sq ft over five floors and is considered to have long term development potential.

Other parts of the site provide over £150,000 of annual income.

The former Pier nightclub in Wigan is also for sale. The 7,706 sq ft nightclub and bar is in need of some refurbishment. The entire site has a bottom guide price of £110,000.

Offered on behalf of the receivers is a single storey detached former cinema in Market Street, Atherton.

The building is in need of refurbishment and is offered with vacant possession.

The property is 5,658 sq ft in total and has guide price of £60,000.

The Auction People have a number of vacant and residential investment lots on offer.

The Canal & River Trust is selling Toddbrook Lodge. It comprises a three bedroom detached cottage on Reservoir Road in the Peak District, with a guide price of £165,000.

As the first event of the year, the February auctions are always very well attended and we are expecting hundreds of investors and private buyers in the room on the day."

The Manchester auction will take place on Thursday 28 February with the commercial sale commencing at noon and the residential sale to follow at 2pm.
