Pugh brings Holywell church to auction

A North Wales former church school with consent for residential conversion is among the catalogue at Pugh & Co's fifth Liverpool auction of 2012.

Alpha United Reformed Church on Greenfield Road in Holywell, Flintshire, has planning permission for six one-bedroom flats and is guided at £55,000 to £65,000.

The building is amongst a variety of lots being offered by property auctioneers Pugh & Co, together with their residential arm, the Auction People, at Aintree Racecourse, at 2pm on Wednesday 12 September.

Other lots include a three-storey end terrace with ground floor retail unit on Wavertree Road in Liverpool, with upper floors comprising eight bed-sits, guided between £65,000 and £70,000.

A two-bedroom end terrace in need of renovation in July Street, Bootle is offered on by Sefton Council with a guide price of £10,000.

Paul Thompson, director and auctioneer of Pugh & Co, said: "We have had a fantastic year so far, held 16 auctions and generated total sale proceeds in excess of £48m. Early signs are that this success will continue at next week's Liverpool auction. There is a real mix of keenly priced properties on offer from mortgagees, corporate and private clients and we are expecting to have a very good turnout."

Pugh & Co holds 28 auctions a year across Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Leeds featuring Lots from all across the UK.
