Provisional liquidator appointed to private security firms

Two Liverpool building site security firms have had their assets seized and are being wound up in the High Court following an inquiry by the Companies Investigation Branch.

CTN Security Services, of Longmoor Lane, Aintree, and CTN Retail Security Services, Penny Lane, Mossley Hill, provided manned guarding, door-supervision and other private security services, under contract, to construction sites, shops and leisure premises.

The companies' clientele included a number of blue chip organisations. The Official Receiver has been appointed provisional liquidator of both firms to protect assets in the possession or under the control of the companies pending the determination of official petitions.

The case is now subject to High Court action and no further information will be made available until the petitions are heard in the High Court on 28 May 2008.
