Promotions at Sheppard Robson

The architecture practice has made five promotions in its Manchester office; Rupert Goddard and Alex Solk were promoted to associate partner, and Neil Allen Burt, James Jones and Mark Peterson to associate.

Goddard and Solk joined Sheppard Robson in 2007 and 2003 respectively. Goddard worked on Litherland High School in Liverpool, Bolton's Essa Academy and Manchester Metropolitan University's ongoing Birley Fields scheme.

Solk was involved in designing the high profile Plot B4 mixed-use scheme at MediaCityUK, and has led a number of projects for the University of Manchester.

An expert on sustainability issues, Solk acted as a BBC World Service correspondent for the Climate Connection series in 2009. He also sits on the Pro Manchester board.
Ian Butler, head of Sheppard Robson's Manchester office, said: "The promotions recognise the hard work and commitment of the team in ensuring that the firm continues to perform well in a challenging market.

"Sheppard Robson recognises the importance of investing in the development of our employees, which is crucial in facilitating the organic growth of the practice and building further on its success."

In total 15 promotions have been made across Sheppard Robson's Manchester, London and Glasgow offices since July 2010.

There are 60 staff in the Manchester office.
