Promotions and new recruit at CBRE

Oliver Thomas has joined CBRE in Manchester as associate director in building consultancy after leaving rival GVA.

At GVA Thomas advised on various projects including a new Costa Coffee drive-thru in Chester, and the relocation of Exide Technologies and GNB Industrial Power from Over-Hulton to Middlebrook, Bolton.

CBRE also announced the promotion of Stephen Barnes to director in the Manchester office and Neil Rogers to associated director in Liverpool, both in building consultancy.

Angela Seddon, director of building consultancy at CBRE, said: "Oliver's appointment is a coup for our building consultancy offering in the North West. He will be working closely with CBRE's agency and development teams, who will no doubt see the benefit of his experience in fit out and new build development."

Thomas said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join such an active regional property team. I look forward to working with CBRE's extensive client base and further increasing our exposure in the North West."
