Promotion at Jefferson Sheard

Jefferson Sheard Architects has made Clare Ailward regional director in its Manchester office.

Ailward joined Jefferson Sheard in its Sheffield practice in 1999 while she was still a student. She has worked across Sheffield and Manchester for the past 15 years. Projects include the ground transport interchange at Manchester Airport, the Barnsley transport interchange and the Manchester Shudehill interchange.

Ailward has been Jefferson Sheard's director of design since 2008 and is head of the Manchester office.

The practice moved to 53 King Street in August from its former base in Little Peter Street. There are five members of staff working in Manchester.

Jefferson Sheard has three other offices in Sheffield, London and Peterborough.
