Project3 adds two

The Altrincham-based architect has hired Lisa Kinch from Farrells and from Tom Welz, formerly of Tim Groom Architects, to support its growing workload.

Kinch has started her role with Project3 this week as a senior architect, and joins from Farrells’ Manchester practice, where she worked on the Northern Gateway masterplan with FEC and on the project’s Housing Infrastructure Fund bid.

Welz has also joined the practice having previously worked for Tim Groom Architects and Beech Design, and will lead on the delivery of Stockport College, where Project3 has designed a major £23m transformation of the college’s campus, working alongside contractor Wates, RLB, Hydrock, and Renaissance.

Project3 said the hires were due to its “growing workload of exciting and ongoing projects”; these include working with Hillcrest on its delivery of the former King’s Macclesfield campus; working alongside Novo on a series of projects across Altrincham; and Citybranch’s plans for residential and a multi-storey car park on the town’s existing Regent Road car park.
