Princess Royal to open next phase of Liverpool One
The Princess Royal will officially open the second phase of Grosvenor's £1bn Liverpool One project next week.
Almost five months after her parents, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, attended the topping out ceremony of the first phase of the retail centre, the Princess will mark the opening of 600,000 sq ft of shops, leisure terrace, 14 screen Odeon cinema, and the unveiling of the five-acre Chavasse Park on October 1.
The launch event, entitled Access All Areas, will see fashion shows, musicians, and walkabout acts, with the evening culminating in a firework display at 10pm, while restaurants including Wagamama, Zizzi, Pizza Hut, Las Iguanas, Cafe Rouge, Nando's and Gourmet Burger Kitchen will throw open their doors in the leisure terrace.
