Preston approves Glovers Court office-to-resi

Preston City Council has granted planning consent to the conversion of a vacant office near Fishergate into 30 apartments.

35 Glovers Court is situated just off Fishergate, Preston’s main shopping street.

According to plans submitted by Equitas Solicitors and agent David Cox Architects, the building would be extended upwards to six storeys, and would include a ground floor retail unit and restaurant. There would be nine two-bedroom and 21 one-bedroom apartments.

The property is an extension of the building which formed part of the former Booths complex on Church Street.

35 Glovers Court is owned by Mohsin Patel, the director of Equitas Solicitors.

The development was approved unanimously at Preston City Council’s planning committee meeting.
