Public relations firm Roland Dransfield has appointed Leanne Forshaw Jones to head a new digital offering at the Manchester-based consultancy.
Forshaw Jones, 29, currently communications manager for developer Urban Splash, will take on the role of director of digital communications, commencing next week, Monday 8 November.
Roland Dransfield said she will take on a leading role in further helping the consultancy's clients develop innovative digital strategies, incorporating both online PR and social media, in order to deepen its engagement with customers and stakeholders.
Forshaw Jones originally worked with the team as a senior account manager from 2004 to 2006. She said: "I'll be leading an integrated service to open more discussions across the entire media spectrum. Our bespoke digital services will help clients understand the full extent of the opportunities that new media presents, the doors it can open and its role in enhancing customer relations."
Forshaw Jones takes her experience from three years with Urban Splash, in which she headed up the strategy to take its communications online.
She added: "Urban Splash was a fantastic place to implement a digital campaign: a superb company driven by a creative board which fully supported these online strategies. It's going to be incredibly exciting to take this experience forward with other brands."
