PR firm appointed to market Warrington shopping centre

Lagmar Properties, a joint venture between Lagan Properties and Mar Properties, has asked the IPB Communications to deliver a programme of community engagement work for Cockhedge Shopping Centre in Warrington.

The project will see the Sale-based organisation's consultation team IPB Consult deliver services which include stakeholder engagement, public exhibitions, media relations and the production of a brochure.

Stewart Pimbley, IPB managing director, said: "Over the last year, a number of new clients have used our IPB Consult service. This project is an excellent fit for us and I am delighted that we are involved in delivering it."

The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the benefits of the shopping centre's revamp to shoppers and local residents. The proposed improvements will include new improved car parking, better access to the site, new signage and new shop frontages.

Proposals include four new retail shops, totaling 20,000 sq ft, and a potential for an extension to the existing Argos shop, increasing its size to 3,550 sq ft. The current Argos shop has a floor area of 10,514 sq ft, so its increase in size will be the equivalent of an additional two new shops.

Cockhedge Shopping Centre has 32 shopping outlets.
