Pozzoni completes Nantwich retirement village

Pozzoni, the Altrincham-based independent architectural practice, has finished a £4.75m extra care retirement village for Wulvern Housing and Arena Housing Partnership.

Mill House, a refurbishment of existing homes, provides 43 apartments, together with a restaurant, library and IT suite, a health suite, beauty salon and gardens.

John Cooke, partner at Pozzoni, said: "Wulvern Housing had a very clear objective – to create a vibrant environment where older people would choose to live, while incorporating excellent facilities for the wider community to use as well.

"This is the first of several extra-care schemes we're developing with Wulvern Housing and the team has explored and established a 'standard' extra-care unit type and design, which will be reused on future projects."

The building complies with the Scheme Development Standards, Lifetime Homes and Secured by Design requirements.
