Emma Powell St Michael

Powell leaves LSH for footballers’ propco

Former Lambert Smith Hampton and OBI office agent Emma Powell has taken a business development role at Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs’ St Michael’s Partnership.

St Michael’s is the developer behind the £150m redevelopment of Jackson’s Row in Manchester, with proposals for a mix of offices, hotel, and residential designed by Make Architects.

Powell previously spent five years at OBI Property specialising in office agency, before moving to LSH at the end of 2015.

Powell said: “Having spent the past seven years working in the Manchester office industry, it felt like the right time to take on a new challenge. It’s a very exciting opportunity for me especially as the North West residential market is moving from strength to strength. St Michael’s offers a mix of uses including office, leisure and residential so it will allow me to continue to engage with the market as well forge new relationships with clients and other professionals.”

Speaking about the appointment, Gary Neville, director of St Michael’s, said: “I met Emma when she was working at OBI and was impressed with her professionalism and attitude towards business. We’re strengthening the St Michael’s team and I felt Emma would be an ideal match for our business development role. Her experience in the office industry will become invaluable when we begin to market the offices and her client facing skills will be perfect for dealing with our residential customers.”

Powell’s move from LSH comes as the consultancy looks to reorganise its transactional team, which covers the retail, office and industrial agency teams, and capital markets.

Stephen Proudley, director at Lambert Smith Hampton, said: Emma is a talented surveyor and we wish her every best wish for her future career. We are currently in the process of reshaping LSH’s entire North West transactional team, and as part of our ongoing strategy are aiming to grow our staff numbers and the breadth of expertise we have within our office agency team.”
