Pochin puts Cheshire Fresh plans on show

Pochin's draft plans for a £50m mixed-use development focused on Cheshire's food industry go on show on Tuesday at Middlewich Civic Hall.

The public will have the chance to comment on the draft proposals for a new food and rural enterprise centre on land adjoining Pochin Way in Middlewich. Members of the project team will be on hand to answer questions.

The plans can also be viewed online later today at www.cheshirefresh.co.uk and comments can be left on the website.

HOW Planning and AEW Architects are advising Pochin. The 47-acre development site crosses the border between Cheshire East and Cheshire West & Chester local authorities. The scheme could include a livestock market, business units, retail and leisure and food manufacture and distribution space.

The exhibition will be open from 2pm to 8pm on Tuesday 16 July at Middlewich Civic Hall, Victoria Building, Lewin Street, Middlewich, Cheshire, CW10 9AS.

what are your proposals for dealing with the additional traffic on the A54 between M6 junction 18 and Pochin way the proposed development will bring. This section of the A54 is already subject to high volumes of traffic and properties in sproston which front onto the road are becoming unsaleable. Has a traffic survey been carried out and what is the anticipated increase in vehicle movements per day created by the proposed development
