Pochin gains school contract

Pochin Special Projects has been awarded a £566,000 contract to construct a new sports pavilion at independently owned The Grange School in Hartford, Cheshire.

Designed by Harrogate-based architects Richard Eaves Partnership, the 3,907 sq ft pavilion will sit alongside the existing school playing fields and will comprise changing facilities for pupils, as well as a communal area.

The construction of the new pavilion will also require additional car parking and road access to the pavilion to be created. Pochin is also contracted to construct a new 861 sq ft shed adjacent to the pavilion for storage purposes.

Antony Pochin, operations director, Pochin Special Projects, said: "We have worked with The Grange on numerous projects over the years, including the construction of a new £1.9m building at its junior school in 2009. We look forward to delivering this state-of-the-art pavilion for pupils and spectators to enjoy.

"Pochin has built a strong reputation in the education sector, and with the Special Projects arm now in its third year, we are pleased to be able to build on the relationships we have established with our clients, by continuing to deliver work on a smaller, more bespoke basis."

The new pavilion is scheduled to take 32 weeks to complete.
