Pochin bags two more DeTrafford jobs

Residential developer DeTrafford Estates has appointed Cheshire contractor Pochin to deliver two schemes: Sky Gardens in Manchester’s Castlefield, and Cavendish Place in Bowdon.

Sky Gardens will bring 166 apartments to 210 Chester Road, with features including a new public square and a communal roof garden for residents. There will also be commercial space fronting Chester Road.

The site is adjacent to DeTrafford’s Roof Gardens scheme in Ellesmere Street, where Pochin is delivering 22 townhouses and 49 apartments.

De Trafford CavendishAt Cavendish Place, 17 homes, made up of duplexes, triplexes, a coach house and three- and four-bedroom penthouses, will be built behind the restored façades of two buildings, Southbank House and Delamer Lodge.

Gary Jackson, DeTrafford’s director and founder, said: “The Sky Gardens marks an important new phase in our transformational Manchester Gardens scheme and Cavendish Place will create high quality, contemporary homes in a prime location, while preserving and restoring the character and heritage of these fine properties.”
