Plus Dane and E.On roll out eco pilot

Energy supplier E.ON and housing association Plus Dane Group are offering tenants in Middlewich free external insulation worth £300,000 in total.

The offer is open to 55 houses managed by the Plus Dane Group on Kitfield Avenue, St Annes Avenue and Sutton Lane.

The houses are all unsuitable for cavity wall insulation work and residents have complained that they are costly to heat. They will be fitted with insulation panels on the outside which will be covered with new brick at the front and pebble at the rear.

Plus Dane's investment team leader, Colin Mountford, said: "We make seven promises to our tenants, including pledges to increase investment in existing property, create jobs and make neighbourhoods great places to live.

"This work will not only make the houses more attractive but will see residents have greatly reduced heating bills and cut down on the amount of Co2 they need to use."
