Specialist affordable housing developer Mulbury Homes has submitted plans for a £5m housing development on the 2.8-acre site of a former mill at New Hall Lane in Preston.
The plans propose building 51 new homes, with a mix of two, three and four bedroom semi-detached and terraced properties.
Mulbury is delivering the scheme on behalf of Adactus Housing Association who plan to make the homes available for shared ownership and rent for local families. Adactus has secured grant funding from the Homes & Communities Agency for the project.
Preston-based consultancy PWA Planning submitted the planning application on behalf of Mulbury Homes and has also been involved in consultations with the local community over the proposals.
The application is due to go to planning committee at the end of April. If approved, work could start on site in June with an anticipated completion date of October 2015.
