Plans submitted for Foxhall development

Hollinwood Homes has submitted a planning application for 400 houses forming the £50m Foxhall Village development to Blackpool Borough Council.

The 19 acre scheme on land off Rigby Road, Blackpool, has been designed by architect Broadway Malyan.

It will deliver a selection of two, three and four bedroom homes, and will link the town's promenade, town centre and nearby parks through a series of walkways.

Seventy of the new plots will be built for Great Places Housing Group.

Improvements will be made to Rigby Road, which connects the two sites together, and the plans also include a communal garden area, which will be exclusively available for residents at the development.

Work is expected to start this year on Foxhall Village, with an estimated completion date of 2020.

Hollinwood Homes residential development director Mark Chadwick said: "We are pleased to be edging ever closer to starting work on this fantastic development, which will provide quality new homes for a range of buyers, in a superb central location.

"The houses we are building at Foxhall Village will be attractive, highly energy efficient, with flexible living spaces, good parking arrangements and plenty of outdoor space and at highly affordable prices.

"By creating effectively two new developments, and starting work on them both simultaneously, we are creating an entire new community which will benefit residents immensely."
