Plans submitted for 225,000 sq ft Pall Mall offices

Northern Irish developer West Bay Capital put its planning application for 30 Pall Mall in to Liverpool City Council today.

If delivered, the £50m project will provide 225,000 sq ft of new grade A office space, including an 18-storey tower that the developer claims will be the UK's tallest single core commercial building.

The Broadway Malyan-designed scheme will comprise two separate buildings with textured facades and a covered internal courtyard. In addition to the office space the development will ground floor cafes, restaurants and shops.

Ashley Moore of West Bay, commented: "We are delighted to be submitting this application and it signifies our belief that Liverpool can become one of the UK's premier business destinations. The city has some fantastic strengths as a business destination, but it is essential that it continues to grow its supply of top quality commercial office space if it is going to maintain its post-Capital of Culture renaissance in the longer term."

The building is intended to achieve BREEAM 'excellent' rating for its environmental credentials. Mason Owen has been appointed as letting agent.
