Plans lodged for next phase of Leigh retail scheme
Brookhouse Group has submitted an application for the 52,000 sq ft third phase of development at Parsonage Way Retail Park.
Situated along Atherleigh Way, on the site of the former Parsonage Colliery, the next phase of the park will deliver three retail units.
Phase two saw the development of 50,000 sq ft, occupied by Aldi, B&M Bargains and a Greene King pub, which are all open and trading to the public.
The mixed-use scheme so far comprises 14 retail units totalling more than 230,000 sq ft.
Brookhouse Group is a property development and investment company based in Cheshire.
Cassidy + Ashton designed both phases of the development and the stores for anchor tenants Sainsbury’s, M&S Simply Food and TK Maxx.
Neil Dermott, associate director at Cassidy + Ashton, said: “Each phase has attracted substantial interest from big-name occupiers, which demonstrates the desirability of out-of-town developments.
“The third phase will bring even more high quality retailing environments, which have proven so popular in this area.”
