Plans approved for speculative business park in Salford
Capital & Centric has received planning permission for a £6m speculative business park development on a 3.5-acre site near to Salford Quays.
The brownfield site adjacent to the Soapworks development is owned by Salford City Council and was acquired with funding from the Northwest Regional Development Agency in 2008.
The proposed development is a 40,000 sq ft business park comprising 12 hybrid office and business units.
The project also involves an acre of public realm linking Ordsall Hall to the River Irwell and Manchester Ship Canal along a new boulevard. A pontoon is proposed at the end of the boulevard which will serve as a water taxi drop off and collection point.
AEW Architects has designed the project.
