Manchester City Council granted consent to DeTrafford’s No1 Castlefield following a site visit yesterday, while a decision on Salboy’s 13-storey aparthotel on Shudehill has been deferred to allow councillors to examine the impact of the “very big building” on the junction site.

At the planning committee councillors supported a request for a site visit before considering the recommendation to approve.
