Slate Wharf is DIRE……Trust the NIMBYS of Castlefield like it….

By Schwyz

Slate Wharf looks like the old council houses in the Northern Quarter.

By Manc

Agree with Manc. Don’t let Nimbyfield hear you say that,or there will be another challenge put to the council.Surprised they haven’t whinged about the new Ordsall chord railway bridge, blocking their view of Trinity way.

By Elephant

Where is the SPACE??? Are the council going to continue to allow every available site to be completely packed with dense development without allowing some public space/greenspace? There are plenty of cities which achieve density without filling every pocket with buildings. Has nobody in Manchester heard of climate change and the need for Green Infrastructure to mitigate?

By Ed

There is so much hate towards people that live in Castlefield, it’s disgusting.

So many people who don’t care about Castlefield but always care enough to share their trollish hate.

Also, learn what NIMBY means before you use it. Caring and showing an interest about what is going on in your community is a positive thing.

Elegant design for central village is welcome, it’s unfortunate that they’ve opted for the weird space station like (clad/varying window shapes) for the towers.

We need to be positive about all development and cheer at the meagre smidgins of private outside space occasionally provided. HURRAY FOR MANCHESTER!

Building on Plot G granted. What a crying shame.

Shame on you #MeekCityCouncil !

By People need space, especially in city centres.

Do MCC ever turn anything down?

By Nordyne

Only the opportunities to cooperate with other cities and pursue their own interests.
