Planner turns author with Rebuilding Manchester
Planning consultant Euan Kellie has released a book which chronicles the architectural transformation of Manchester's city centre in recent decades.
The book, published by history specialist DB Publishing, examines how Manchester was successfully repositioned and re-branded following years of post-war economic decline, with particular attention paid to the rebuilding following the terrorist attack in June 1996.
Sir Howard Bernstein, chief executive of Manchester City Council, wrote the foreword for the book, which is available on Amazon and was officially endorsed by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Royal Institute of British Architects North West.
Kellie is a chartered town planner and this year began training to be a chartered planning and development surveyor at Salford University's School of the Built Environment
