Planner joins Cushmans

Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its Manchester planning team with the appointment of Olivia Hewitt as graduate town planning consultant.

Hewitt studied at Newcastle University on an RTPI and RICS-accredited programme, gaining a Master of Planning degree. As part of her course, she completed a placement year at consultancy WYG.

In her new role she will be directly supporting the Manchester town planning team in the preparation and submission of planning applications, planning appraisals, development plan and planning application representations, and general planning and strategy advice.

Hewitt will report to Andy Teage, partner and head of town planning for C&W’s Manchester office, joining senior consultants Rhian Davitt-Jones and the recently-promoted Claire Pegg.

Teage said: “Olivia’s appointment is a clear sign of the success that the Cushman & Wakefield town planning team in Manchester is enjoying, and the commitment of the wider business to the growth of the national town planning skill line.

“Olivia has an invaluable year’s consultancy experience which has allowed her to make an immediate and positive contribution to the team and wider office.”
