PlaceEXPO prepares for table football final

All players, pundits and fans in the Hill Dickinson PlaceEXPO Table Football World Cup 2014 are invited to attend a party to celebrate the final on the evening of Thursday 3 July.

The event will take place in the PlaceEXPO conference space at No 4 St Paul's Square and will see matches in the quarter-finals, semis and final match played to decide the overall winner.

The trophy will be presented to the winning team by former Everton player Graeme Sharp. Sharp played at the 1986 World Cup, as well as winning numerous league and cup honours for Everton FC.

There will also be medals for all 32 teams who have participated in the tournament.

The night promises a Brazilian carnival atmosphere, with football-themed music and entertainment. Catering company Bean, which has operated in the PlaceEXPO space throughout IFB, will serve chilli dogs and nachos, with beer, wine and soft drinks from the pop-up bar.

Further football-themed entertainment is expected to be put on by Commercial District BID in St Paul's Square.

The party starts from 5pm, with the first quarter-final match due to start at 5.30pm. The World Cup Final is expected to kick-off at 7.15pm.

Hill Dickinson would like to thank PlaceEXPO for hosting the tournament, Graeme Sharp and Everton FC for their fantastic contribution to the event and Commercial District BID for their part in arranging the special guest and the entertainment surrounding the opening and closing events.

All attendees must register for the party in advance via Eventbrite. Bring your e-ticket with you to get a free chilli dog and free first drink. A cash bar will then be available.
