Place Tech: Building for the technology era

Place North West is hosting a free half-day conference to explore the increasing importance of technology in property, covering issues including data storage, cloud computing, smart city design and power engineering.

Place Tech is being hosted in association with law firm DWF and Liverpool Innovation Park, where the event will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 19 July.

Place Tech is an ideal opportunity for property managers in large companies and active developers, landlords and advisors to hear an expert briefing from engineers, architects and data handlers with experience of managing major property-technology projects.

There will be four keynote presentations:

  • Frank Mills, technical director at Sinclair Knight Merz, engineer on Media City UK with an overview of designing and delivering the Peel Media development
  • Mike Osbaldeston, regional manager, Managed Networks, on advances in cloud computing and the latest IT challenges and benefits for property owners and occupiers
  • Richard Quenby, professional support lawyer in real estate at DWF, outlining a legal checklist to consider during a large relocation or real estate technology project
  • Jaimie Ferguson, urban design director at architects BDP in Manchester, on the principles of smart city design and the latest examples from around the world.
