Place North West readership on its way to 40,000 a month

The number of readers visiting Place North West rose 36% in the third quarter of 2011 compared to the same three-month period in 2010, according to data captured by online circulation tool Google Analytics.

There were 93,076 unique visitors to Place North West in Q3 2011 compared to 68,292 in Q3 2010.

Readership rose 12% on the month, Analytics showing 35,846 unique visitors to the website in September compared to 31,885 in August. The jump is not surprising given the number of readers on holiday in August compared to September. Quarter-on-quarter growth is more modest at 5%; there were 88,435 unique visitors from the start of April to the end of June against 93,076 from 1 July to 30 September.

Among the most read stories of the past quarter were Bank of America putting MBNA in Chester up for sale , Manchester City FC's planning application for the Etihad Campus, and the Boundary Commission's proposed changes to parliamentary constituencies.
