Place EXPO: Best Practice for PRS

Cllr Ann O'Byrne, cabinet member for housing and community safety at Liverpool City Council, has joined the line-up for next week's debate on lessons for delivering quality private rented developments.

O'Byrne is instrumental in meeting Mayor Joe Anderson's ambitious targets for delivering new units in the city, where a pioneering PRS agreement is in place to deliver thousands of homes with Sigma, and an aggressive empty homes strategy is gathering pace.

Delegates have already signed up to attend from Turley, Liverpool Vision, Aedas, HCA, Planit, Regenda, Your Housing, Landmark, CBRE and others at this specialist event about a rapidly developing asset class.

The half-day morning session will outline findings from the Urban Land Institute's Best Practice Guide on Build to Rent for design, development and management of PRS in the UK.

ULI Build to Rent guideThe guide was developed by the ULI Residential Council members and was jointly sponsored by the Government's Private Rented Sector Taskforce and ULI UK. The event will include a discussion about the guide, its relevance to Liverpool and the wider UK residential market, and a panel debate with representatives from both industry and government.
