PJ Livesey kicks off Wirral project

The developer has completed 62 houses and apartments at Moor Park in Lancaster this month while work at Storeton Hall in Wirral is now under way.

PJ Livesey started on the Wirral scheme in September, and its first phase of completion is due for the end of 2020. The whole site is expected to be completed mid-2021, including the restoration and conversion of 14th Storeton Hall and its adjacent barn into four homes. The medieval hall house has topped the region’s most significantly ‘at risk’ listed scheduled monuments. Another 27 homes will also be built on the 3.5-acre site.

Along with these two schemes, it is currently on site at Green Walk in Didsbury, Manchester, to create 95 homes. This scheme is part of the Didsbury Technology Park Partnership with Siemens, Bruntwood and Manchester City Council. This is due for completion by the end of 2020.

In Cheshire, PJ Livesey is working on 57 homes in The Historic Quarter in Alderley Park, Cheshire. True to form, 33 of the houses will be inside listed buildings, and 22 apartments and penthouses will be encased in a glass façade. This scheme is part of Bruntwood’s 300-acre Alderley Park estate in Cheshire which houses a science and innovation campus, and is set to complete by autumn 2020.

Set to join these schemes is 825 Didsbury which will create 85 homes, 65 of which will be in converted buildings, in South Manchester. It gained approval for this scheme late last year and has started on site in recent weeks. The first completions are due in the first quarter of 2020, and it is due for full completion in 2021.

PJ Livesey is actively seeking more schemes in the North West and is looking to expand its land team.

Land director James Woodmansee said: “The opportunity is more important than the geographical location. The company is rightly known for its skill in unlocking complex sites that often include historic elements, but we can bring the same skills to new build sites of all sizes to deliver individual schemes that benefit neighbourhoods.

“Our experience and expertise mean we have the ability to deliver sensitive and creative solutions on sites that have often been stalled for years. We also look for complete new build projects, consulting extensively with local authorities and local residents to create high quality and well-designed homes that fit their location and enrich the neighbourhood.”
