Peter Brett appoints director for water projects

Manchester-based consultancy Peter Brett Associates has appointed Katherine Pygott as director of water management.

Previously associate director at Arup, Pygott is an experienced director in infrastructure, water and environmental consultancy. With over 30 years in the water industry, she has delivered complex multi-disciplinary and policy development projects for a range of major clients.

Pygott has particular expertise in investment planning support, partnership working and external funding.

Peter Brett Associates currently has 16 fee-earners within its Manchester office. The role of director of water management is a new position and Pygott will be responsible for developing the wider offering.

Paul Jenkin, partner at Peter Brett Associates, said: "Katherine has a proven ability to build strong and sustainable teams of engineering and environmental professionals, and lead them into new markets and sectors. She will be a great asset to the practice as we continue to grow in response to increased opportunities, particularly as we advise clients on ways to manage the challenges of flood risk, supporting them in the delivery of integrated infrastructure, and play an active role in the regeneration of towns and cities."
